Terms of engagement
Deposits
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking and can be paid online or manually for phone bookings, alternatively a payment link can be sent to you. This deposit will be deducted from your final bill on the day of your appointment.
If you need to reschedule, the deposit will be held on file for your future appointment.
If booking multiple future appointments this deposit amount will be turned into a credit on your file, which will then act as bond to secure all future bookings with the one payment.
Cancellation policy
We’ll confirm your booking with a reminder text one week prior and an email 72 hours before your appointment. Please reply ‘Y’ to secure your booking or make changes via our website up to 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. If we don’t receive confirmation within 24 hours, your appointment slot may be offered to our waitlist, you will notified if this is the case. We do our best to contact and remind you of your appointment booked, however this is not to be relied on.
We understand that plans can change. The following cancellation policy will only apply if we're unable to rebook your appointment time;
Cancellations within 24 hours will result in the forfeit of your deposit.
Cancellations within 12 hours will incur a 50% of service fee.
No shows will incur a 100% of service fee.
We hope you can understand that this policy enables us to maintain a high standard of personalised care for all clients and we thank you for the ongoing love and support
Late Policy
We value your time and ours, and lateness can disrupt our schedule. If you’re running more than 15 minutes late, please call us as soon as possible. While we’ll do our best to accommodate you, we may need to reschedule within the same week. If rescheduling isn’t possible, a 50% cancellation fee will apply, charged to the card securely held on file. This helps us ensure every client receives the quality service they deserve.
Service Menu
We specialize in hair color services, with all packages designed to ensure transparency and include a bonding treatment and Gloss/Zone Tone for optimal hair health. Blow waves are required for new clients, offered at a discounted rate to leave you with our signature finish. Consultations are $50 (non-refundable) and required for accurate quotes, this amount is then deducted from your final bill.
Refunds, returns & satisfaction
We do not offer refunds on services but are committed to ensuring you love your hair. If you have concerns, contact us to arrange a complimentary revision (excluding new or additional work). Concerns raised after 10 days will be treated as a new appointment.
Faulty products can be returned with proof of purchase for a refund or exchange.
Social Media
At TKAY, we occasionally capture photos of our clients and salon to share the creativity of our stylists and the inviting atmosphere we’ve created. If you see yourself in a photo and would prefer it removed, please let us know—we’ll take care of it promptly and with care.
Furr children
Co-founder Kyra’s little dog Taco will greet you with a creepy stare or be hiding away sleeping, depending on her mood.
Your fluffy children are always welcome to hang out with both her and the team. A secure back courtyard is also there to accomodate them while you get pampered.
Surcharge
We accept Mastercard, Visa and Amex. All cards will incur a small surcharge fee.
