Abbey will leave you feeling like you just met up with your bestie including some tik-tok dancing, lol's, incredible hair, home care tips, and open conversations.

Maddy

Senior Colourist

The energy we never knew we were missing at TKAY.

Maddy is our freshest addition and has over 5 years experience. She specialises in short hair, bobs, low-maintenance colour or if you are feeling like temporary creative colour change up Maddy is for you.

Maddy prides herself on creating friendships with her clients and talking about anything from camping to the love of hot chippies. She will have you in and out of the salon with lots of laughs along the way.

Lyniah

Emerging Colourist & Stylist

Lyniah glows huge nurturing energy and is our most humbled team member at TKAY for over 2 years, she specialises in " Brunette 90's vibes" hair. Aka the TKAY cutie.

If you have struggled to find someone to tame your mane previously Lyniah is for you.

Watch this space for highlighting and balayage but for now, everything else colour & styling including our signature chemical free smoothing treatment and coverage services. Lyniah values connection with her clients and will leave you feeling like you were the only one in our space.

Kyra

Director & Co-Owner

A colourist and industry educator with 17 years of experience under her belt. From humble beginnings on the outskirts of Melbourne’s Yarra valley Kyra found herself amongst some of Australia’s leading salons and stylists, landing a celebrity clientele and salon educator for over 9 years.

As a devoted professional with an incredibly huge passion for sharing knowledge, Kyra has also taught as an educator for top industry brands such as Redken and Wella as well on stage events at hair expo. (Even meeting her colourist idol Tracey Cunningham backstage)

Kyra has taken home multiple colourist awards both in Australia and New Zealand, But her most proud moment would have to be winning the prestigious AHFA’S Hair Colourist of the year award.

Kyra’s biggest career highlight to date would have to be opening TKAY Studio with her long time hair bestie Ash, she finally met her hair nerd match and together they created their dream space which is all about chilled vibes and creating incredibly beautiful healthy hair. Plus a killer hand picked girl squad that are obsessed with hair and all the feel good feelz.

Kyra takes the most upmost pride in her work and her beautiful team. She constantly strives to create seamless, low maintenance, natural hair colour and styling. All finished with a bubbly smile, some friendly chats (mostly about dogs) and a personalised service from start to finish.

Ash

Director & Co-Owner

With 15 years of hairdressing banked. Our “cool” girl colour specialist Ash who originally from Perth, moved to Melbourne on a journey to pursue a dream to expand her hairdressing knowledge and seek education from industry leaders.

Ash’s passion for education started early in her apprenticeship after becoming an in salon educator for one of Perth’s top hairdressing salons as well as some of the leading industry brands such as L’Oreal, Wella and Eleven Australia.

Ash has participated in a number of multiple fashion weeks, as well as presenting and educating on stage at Sydney and Melbourne’s hair expo’s.

Her passion for constantly staying at the forefront of hair and fashion, Ash has travelled nationally and internationally to the likes of L.A and New York to learn from some of the worlds top celebrity colourists, all before building her dream business TKAY with bestie Kyra.

Grace

Salon Manager

Grace came to Melbourne in 2019 from Cheshire, UK. Where she managed a number of haircare accounts for a global e-commerce business.

Grace runs our day to day operations. Always behind the scenes, creating more efficient ways to work, organising TKAY’s next education or event, ensuring everything is running like clockwork, building our online store and guaranteeing that when our beautiful clients leave TKAY they feel relaxed, pampered and confident with the premium service we strive for in our space.

Outside of the salon, you’ll find her at a gym class or hanging out at the beach with an oat latte.
