Where are you located and where do I park?

You’ll find us at 199 Swan Street, Richmond, 3121

Paid street parking is available on Swan Street for 2 hours. Please do not park outside of the Salon from 4:30pm-6:30pm as it is a clearway zone.

Car parks are located at Coles on Swan Street, East Richmond Station or behind the salon on Charlotte Street in the library carpark. Please allow 15minutes to find a car park in peak times.

What is your cancellation policy?

We’ll confirm your booking with a reminder text one week prior and an email 72 hours before your appointment. Please reply ‘Y’ to secure your booking or make changes via our website up to 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. If we don’t receive confirmation within 24 hours, your appointment slot may be offered to our waitlist, you will notified if this is the case. We do our best to contact and remind you of your appointment booked, however this is not to be relied on.

We understand that plans can change. The following cancellation policy will only apply if we're unable to rebook your appointment time;

  • Cancellations within 24 hours will result in the forfeit of your deposit.

  • Cancellations within 12 hours will incur a 50% of service fee.

  • No shows will incur a 100% of service fee.

    We hope you can understand that this policy enables us to maintain a high standard of personalised care for all clients and we thank you for the ongoing love and support

Late Policy

We value your time and ours, and lateness can disrupt our schedule. If you’re running more than 15 minutes late, please call us as soon as possible. While we’ll do our best to accommodate you, we may need to reschedule within the same week. If rescheduling isn’t possible, a 50% cancellation fee will apply, charged to the card securely held on file. This helps us ensure every client receives the quality service they deserve.

What brands do you use and are they cruelty-free?

Our colour specialists here at TKAY have dedicated their combined 20+ year careers to hair colouring, ensuring that we can adopt the latest innovations in hair care.

We use and stock Maria Nila, Redken, colour-wow, evo fab pro and Virtue Labs.

Our promise is to help keep your hair, as well as our planet as beautiful as possible by only using the cleanest, ethically sourced and highest quality brands.

Do you colour hair extensions?

Yes we do at an additional cost. Your extensions will be coloured after your appointment in order to colour match to your natural hair and will be ready within the next 2 business days.

Colouring your extensions comes at your own risk, and we do not take responsibility for any unlikely damage.

Please note we only colour varying on the brand and the condition of the extensions. We do not lighten extensions, only deepen to blend. We recommend purchasing new ones if a lighter result is desired. If you wish to bring your extensions in please get in touch prior to your appointment so that we can assess and provide you with a quote.

What to wear?

While we try our very best to ensure you are protected at all times, as we are in an environment working with liquid colour. We recommend not wearing your special or white clothing to the studio. We will not be liable for any accidents.

Should I wash my hair?

If you use grey blending powders or sprays we always require thee to be washed out prior to your appointment to ensure the colour takes properly.

All other colour services freshly washed hair is not required but definitely clean hair will give us a better result and true visual representation of your hair and what we are able to achieve.
